Features

• Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) aiding in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and soft tissue injuries where short-term anti-inflammatory and/or anti-pyretic therapy is indicated.
• Potent anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic and analgesic effects.
• Well absorbed and distributed following oral administration, with up to 85% plasma protein bound allowing high concentrations of active drug in inflammatory exudates.

Benefits

• ​Dose dependent serum half life ranging (in the horse) from 3.5 hours (2g/450kg bodyweight) to 6 hours (8g/450kg bodyweight).
• Treats a wide range of inflammatory conditions such as laminitis, bone and joint inflammation, tendonitis, acute tenosynovitis, capsulitis and bursitis.
• Therapeutic efficacy may last 24 hours.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE/CONTRAINDICATIONS
Administer paste orally over the tongue 30 minutes prior to feeding. Do not use in horses intended for human consumption. If used in performance horses, consult appropriate regulatory authorities in regards to recommended withhold.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Clinical response is usually seen within 24 hours of oral dosage, with optimal effect occurring approximately 12 hours post-administration. 
DOSAGE RATES 
Horses (450kg bodyweight) 4.4mg/kg bodyweight as 10mL oral paste (equivalent to phenylbutazone 2g) twice on first day, followed by 2.2mg/kg as 5mL (phenylbutazone 1g) twice daily for four days, followed by 5mL (phenylbutazone 1g) daily or every second day as required. 
Ponies (225kg bodyweight) 5mL (phenylbutazone 1g) daily for four days, followed by 2.5mL (phenylbutazone 0.5g) daily or every second day as required.
