EO3
Source of omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA
EO-3® is a rich source of the marine-derived long–chain
omega-3 fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and
eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). EO-3 can be fed to all horses
to improve the critical ratio of omega-3 to omega-6
fatty acids in the diet. EO-3 provides biologically-active
omega-3 fatty acids that have anti-inflammatory
properties and may improve insulin sensitivity.
Why Choose EO-3
• Mediates the inflammatory response in horses leading
to a reduction in joint inflammation, allergic reactivity,
and equine asthma (inflammatory airway disease (IAD),
recurrent airway obstruction (RAO)).
• Increases red blood cell flexibility, which reduces the risk
of exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH).
• Supports horses with allergies and skin conditions.
• Provides support for horses with equine metabolic
syndrome (EMS) and pituitary pars intermedia
dysfunction (PPID, Cushing’s).
• Benefits fertility and colostrum quality in broodmares,
enhances passive transfer of antibodies to foals, and
increases sperm concentration, motility, and viability in
stallions.
• Provides an anti-inflammatory effect in horses with
Equine Glandular Gastric Disease (EGGD) and Recurrent
Exertional Rhabdomyolysis (RER), as inflammation is a
key part of the disease process.
• Improves glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity.
• Strengthens immune function
Feeding Recommendations
Feed 15 to 30 ml* for horses with respiratory conditions
such as equine asthma.
Feed 30 to 60 ml for growing horses, broodmares, stallions, performance horses, and horses recovering from illness or injury.
For best results, introduce EO-3 to the ration gradually over a period of 5 to 10 days or give over the tongue.
